You’ve asked and we’ve answered! For several years, Square’s products have been available to affiliates across multiple, separate programs. This has made it difficult for partners to ensure that they had the proper links and were receiving proper credit for their efforts. We’re excited to let you know that we will be merging several Square programs into a single program, beginning in April 2022.
With this effort, you will be able to continue to promote Square Online, Square Online Checkout, and our ecommerce subscription plans, but you will also have access to promote additional Square products such as Square POS, Square Payroll, Square for Restaurants and more.
What Does This Mean? You will have a single source for all things Square moving forward, with the exception of the Square Japan program. All links, banners, and reporting will now be streamlined into one program.
What Programs are affected? The partnership programs that will be merging are Square Online, Square UK, and Square AU. Moving forward, these programs will be part of the Square program. Square Japan will continue as a separate program.
Do I need to join a new program? Possibly! Please make sure you are joined to the Square Affiliate Program in Impact.
Do I need to change my links? Unfortunately, yes. You will need to make sure any links from the Square Online, Square UK, and Square AU programs are updated to use ones from the Square Affiliate Program. If you need assistance obtaining or updating your links, we are happy to assist you.
What about my old reporting? Reports from merging programs will be available to you through the Impact interface for at least some time after the merge. We encourage partners to save critical reports.
