Linking Directly to Assets
Affiliates can link directly to specific products or sets of products using our Linkmaker Tool.
- Visit our Linkmaker Tool
- Enter your affiliate ID and click “Apply”. Any link you generate with Linkmaker will automatically include your Affiliate ID as long as you include this step. (Your AID is: [camref,fallback=”] )
- Search for the Asset Store Product, Package, or List you wish to create a link for
- Click the “Create Link” button below your selected asset
- Select the type of link you wish to use by using the radio buttons next to the selections. You can create a large or small widget, text link, static banner, or direct link. The code will automatically update for you in the box at the bottom of the page.
- Select the HTML tracking code and place it on your site
You can link to both paid and free assets in this manner.
Important Program Reminders
- Affiliate links must meet the Technical Requirements laid out in the T&Cs and this means that among other requirements, affiliate links may not include any purchased or licensed search terms, keywords, meta-data, or other identifiers.You may run ad campaigns using your own trademarks to drive traffic directly to your own site but affiliates may not use their affiliate links in ad campaigns directly.
- Affiliate links can be posted on 3rd party websites and your own social media channels, but should not be placed on Unity’s own pages as stated in the affiliate terms and conditions. Links placed in these locations will not track sales.
- If you are a Unity Asset Store publisher and create and sell your own assets on the Asset Store, you may not use your affiliate link on your asset store pages. Links placed in these locations will not track sales.
